Fuzzy Logic Equine™ Product Line
I custom make every pair of these pants for you based upon your measurements. These pants are a snug but not overly tight pull on, boot-cut style with a lightweight, stretch synthetic suede that extends down to the cuff of the pants. They have a 1 1/2" no-roll elastic waistband which is about one to two inches higher in the rear for better coverage in the saddle, high set elastic stirrups to keep the leg down while riding (can be worn inside or outside of a short boot). There is no inside leg seam. All materials I use have stretch, including the suede, and all are very easy care materials - just machine wash and dry on normal settings. All materials dry quickly and wick moisture to the outside of the fabric. All descriptions and recommended temperature ratings are advised for wearing pants alone (no long johns or overpants needed unless otherwise noted).
Description of Fabrics:
Arctic Weight (Polartec 300)
Description - Double sided, ultra thick and cushy fleece. The Gray/Green has a wider ribbed knit exterior (similar to knit sweatshirt), fleece interior is almost, but not quite as warm as the double sided Polartec 300, but it is exceptionally breathable. They are low-pilling, breathable and wick moisture away from your body. It will also keep you warm even if it's wet and dries very quickly. It works well for temps between about 10 degrees and 50 degrees Fahrenheit. The Gray/Green knit is excellent for temps between about 30 and 60 degrees. I've demo tested these pants in all conditions, including extreme wind, temps down to 20 below zero Fahrenheit, snow, rain and sleet. You may need a pair of wind-proof overpants for windy conditions (winds gusting above 30 miles per hour), but I normally don't wear long johns, nor overpants with these unless the temps are below zero with high winds. They are ideal for those who ride outdoor in winter's coldest temps, those who ride indoor in unheated arenas in extreme cold temps, and those who frequently walk through deep snow.
Benefits - Ultimate in warmth for the coldest conditions. Will keep you warm even when wet, dries out quickly and breathes exceptionally well. Will wick moisture to the outside of the fabric where it will dissipate. Thick, soft material gives excellent padding for sensitive skin.
Drawbacks - Fabric is 2-way stretch, not 4-way. They will stretch easily around your body, but not up and down. The inseam has to be longer because they will ride up a bit more when in the saddle. Will tend to bag slightly after being worn for hours. Will not repel hay and shavings. Cargo pocket not available with this fabric.
Arctic Weight Colors - Dark Brown, Royal Blue, Sage Green, Gray/Green (fleece inside, knit exterior)
Winter Weight (Polartec WindPro)
Description - Soft, warm fleece on the inside and a tight knit, tough nylon exterior that repels snags, hay and shavings. These block wind better than Arctic Weights and Fall/Spring Weights, and are excellent for riding in windy temps between about 30 degrees and 60 degrees. The tan, light olive and gray are have a high lycra content and move extremely well with the rider. The nearly black has very little stretch and "holds you in", more similar to jeans that don't have a lot of stretch (but much warmer!). The nearly black also has an exceptionally tough exterior, and will likely withstand more abuse than any other pants on the market. I've demo tested the various WindPro pants in extreme windy conditions (gusts up to about 65 mph), temps down to around 35, in rain, sleet and snow. They perform exceptionally well in these conditions. They have a good degree of water repellency, will keep you warm even when wet, and dry out very quickly. They are ideal for those who primarily ride outside in windy temps around or above freezing, or those who ride indoor in the winter.
Benefits - Wind protection. Stretchiness that will move well with rider and "bags" very little. Much warmer than traditional cotton or polyester fabrics. Snag, hay, shaving and water repellant exterior. Breathes very well and wicks moisture to outside of fabric, is quick drying.
Drawbacks - Not as warm as Arctic Weights,. Color availability is limited. Black WindPro fabric is only suitable for those whose primary concerns are being "held in" and warm (not stretchiness and necessarily comfort).
Winter Weight Colors - Nearly Black, Tan (very subtle check pattern), Medium Gray (very subtle stripe pattern), Light Olive (very subtle check pattern)
Fall/Spring Weight (Polartec PowerStretch)
Description - Super stretchy, body hugging fabric. It has a warm, soft fleece on the inside and a shaving repellant knit exterior. It's excellent for autumn and spring temps between about 40 and 70 degrees or for areas where it doesn't get below freezing in the winter. This is the material most pant makers use for winter weight riding pants. They are exceptionally stretchy, and even if they don't fit perfect, they will stretch to fit you. For example, I normally wear a size L/XL, but can squeeze myself into a pair of small PowerStretch tights. Ideal for those who live in above freezing climates, those who ride outside in the spring and fall, and those who ride indoor in the winter.
Benefits - Will still fit if you gain or lose a few pounds. Very comfortable for all riders. Warmer than normal cotton or polyester fabrics. Breathes well, wicks moisture to outside of pant and regulates heat. Moves exceptionally well with the rider.
Drawbacks - Not warm enough for temps below about 40 degrees. May snag or rip if really pulled hard. Inside thigh will pill (but can be avoided with 3/4 patch or full seat style). Not wind resistant.
Fall/Spring Weight - Medium Brown
Summer Weights (Polartec PowerDry)
Description - Lightweight, micro-rib, tight-like material. It really does actively and continuously wicks the moisture to the outside of the pant where it quickly dissipates. It works extremely well in hot/humid weather, really keeping you dry and cool. I have found them comfortable for temps from about 60 degrees on up to the highest temps you are comfortable riding in. We have demo tested these extensively, including in the dead of summer in southern Louisiana's heat and humidity. They were/are very effective in keeping the rider cool, dry and comfortable even in the most extreme heat and humidity of temps between 95 and 110 with about 95% humidity. Ideal for anyone who rides in hot and/or humid weather and are looking to stay comfortable and dry.
Benefits - Wicks moisture to outside of pant exceptionally well. Regulates heat. Moves well with the rider, durable exterior (will only snag or rip under extreme pulling).
Drawbacks - Thin material. Will not hide bodily imperfections. Must be careful with type of underwear worn underneath if pantylines are an issue to rider.
Summer Weight Colors - Black, Dark Gray, Denim Blue

Synthetic Suede (patch material) - Black, Light Gray, Chocolate, Tan, Indigo, Navy Blue, Light Blue, Light Pink, Red, Dark Sage Green, Lime Green, Mint Green, Turquoise, Purple and Stone with a Brown floral pattern

If you are ready to order, I'll need some accurate measurements from you. I need your:
- Waist (black line)- around where you want the waistband to lie
- Rise (no line) - from the center bottom of your crotch area up to your bellybutton, or where you want the waistband to lie
- Hip (lime green line) - round the widest area
- Waist Rise (yellow line) - length from your waist measurement down to where you measured the widest part of your hip
- Thigh (blue line) - area around the thickest part of one of your thighs
- Inseam (pink line) - from bottom center of crotch area down to the floor, NOT the ankles, the actual floor
- Knee Rise (orange line) - measurement from the middle inside of your knee to floor)
If you can get another person to help you take these measurements, that allows for more accuracy. I would welcome any information if you have any pant fit issues. Please make sure you get accurate measurements - they are the only way I can properly make these pants for you. If you have a specific preference for the fit of pants, such as a looser fit, please give me the accurate measurements and I'll adjust from there.
Please e-mail me if you have any questions. Thanks!!!
